KATHERINE "KAY' SCHNITKER
Kay Schnitker was not only the second set of hands in the Schnitker Duo, she was an accomplished pianist and harpsichordist.
She was responsible for developing the Early Music emphasis at Muskingum College in the late 1960's - early 1970's.
Having her students learn Bach on the clavichord and harpsichord was an innovative learning activity.
Kay Schnitker was also an excellent teacher of theory and pedogogy, instilling in her students a sense of why things work and how to use new techniques.
